BCC's Statement to End Systemic Racism

When Black and Brown lives are systemically devalued by society, our outrage justifiably insists that attention be focused on Black and Brown lives.  When a church claims boldly "Black Lives Matter" at this moment, it chooses to show up intentionally against all given societal values of supremacy and superiority or common-sense complacency. By insisting on the intrinsic worth of all human beings, Jesus models for us how God loves justly, and how his disciples can love publicly in a world of inequality. We live out the love of God justly by publicly saying #BlackLivesMatter.

We need to continue to act with courage and commitment to end racial inequality. We are challenged to examine the ways racism is manifested within ourselves, our community, and confront it. We actively listen, challenge white fragility, and seek equality for all people. We stand in solidarity with the members of our community who routinely feel the weight of oppression, systemic racism, racial violence, and call for an equal justice system.

Children's Ministry

At Broadmoor Community Church, UCC, kids' ministry is a huge part of what we do!

Our staff and volunteers are happy to answer any questions you may have and give you the grand tour of our kids' classrooms.

Nursery & Childcare for ages 0-4: located on the lower level of our main building, 15 minutes before service until after worship is over.

Church School, Children's Worship for Pre-K to 5th grade: meets in the West Wing, room 4-5. Children will learn what it means to worship God and how to worship, as well as learn the basic parts of a worship service. This is the time when we set the foundation of faith for them. We teach using art, story, games, and music!
